It takes the blood of 1100 donors every day (including weekends and holidays) to keep North Texas supplied with enough blood to treat everybody in our community that needs it. Blood donations save lives. As a matter of fact, each blood donation can save three lives. And oftentimes, more than that. Donations to Carter BloodCare go directly to the people that live in the same geographic area. It’s a critical service for the entire community but it’s something that’s easily taken for granted. Remind everyone you know that blood cannot be synthesized or manufactured. It has to be donated. It only takes a few minutes. So give blood. Often.
