Give Amex your opinion and they’ll donate five bucks

I received an email last week from American Express.  They wanted me to take a survey (which I did) and in return they donated $5 to the charity of my choice.  I was given three charities to choose from: American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, and United Way (I chose United Way).  Here’s an excerpt from the email they sent.

“At American Express, we recognize that listening to the opinions of our customers is one of the most important things we can do. We invite you to participate in a survey as part of our continuous effort to understand customers’ needs and improve the quality of our products and services and your experiences with them.

To thank you for completing this survey, American Express will make a payment of $5 to the charity of your selection from the list below, up to $5,000 per charity. You will be able to select the charity upon completing the survey.”

Bravo to Amex for offering charitable contributions as a reward instead of some lame coffee mug or something.  It makes me think someone there cares.

You can see the email here.
